Visiting the website

When you open a page, we process the data that is needed to deliver it: the requested page, the time and the response status. Our web server does not write IP addresses or form entries to its logs.

To prevent abuse, we limit the number of requests per minute for each IP address. For this, the IP address is kept in memory for a short time only and is not stored.

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services. We load fonts, images and scripts from our own server.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website.

Enquiry form

When you send an enquiry, we process the data you enter in the form:

• Equipment details: name, sector, condition, description and quantity
• Destination details: country and city, and on request budget, currency and target date
• Contact details: name and email address, and on request company and phone number
• The time of the enquiry, the reference number, the language of the page and the version of this notice that you confirmed

We use this data to handle your enquiry and to contact you. You receive a confirmation of receipt by email. We receive a notification with the content of your enquiry.

We need the required fields to handle your enquiry. Without them you cannot send it. With the checkbox in the form you confirm that you have read this notice.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling business enquiries).

Storage period

We delete enquiries from our database automatically after 180 days.

Backup copies of the database are replaced by newer ones, and we delete the old ones after 14 days at the latest.

We keep emails that contain your enquiry in our mailboxes for as long as we need them to handle it. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected.

Recipients and service providers

We pass data on only to service providers that we need to run the website. We have data processing agreements with them under Art. 28 GDPR.

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosting of the website and the database on servers in Falkenstein, Germany
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): delivery and protection of the website. Page views and form entries pass through the Cloudflare network in encrypted form, and your IP address is processed there as well
• Email service provider: sending the confirmation of receipt and the notification to us

We pass your enquiry on to suppliers or manufacturers only if this is necessary for your enquiry and you have agreed to it.

Transfers to third countries

Cloudflare is based in the USA. The transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR. The same applies to our email service provider if it is based outside the EU.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). To use these rights, write to us at the email address above.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). You can also contact the authority where you live.

Security

The connection between your browser and our website is encrypted with TLS. The database cannot be reached from the internet. We take technical measures against misuse of the form, for example limiting requests and checking inputs.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, and we do not create profiles.
